I took the engine out.
It wasn’t to bad really. I think the worst was that i had trouble getting the engine studs out of the transmission case after it was loose. I manged to munge up one of the studs a tad but nothing i can’t clean up with a nut threaded back on it I don’t think.
I had great luck using a craftsman atv jack with a piece of 3/4 inch plywood on top of it to support the engine. I was able to do it all myself using that jack. Previous removals I have done I had to have some help to keep the engine from tipping on the regular jack under the motor as we lowered it down.
